Pressurisation units
Pressurisation units fill and maintain the pressure in heating or cooling system.
They do this in various ways, older units may use pressure switches, a pump and a pressure reducing valve. Later units are usually electronically controlled. Large pressurisation units often work on the fill and spill principle.

Cold water booster pumps maintain the flow and pressure to a building ensuring that it can operate all day, every day. They are often used to protect the cold water main from contamination (Cat 5).

RPZ valves
RPZ valves ( Reduced Pressure Zone) (BA) devices are designed to prevent backflow, and back syphonage. This helps prevent contamination to water supplies.
RPZ valves must be tested at least annually by an accredited tester who is also a member of a water company accredited scheme.
